Questions:
- What might be the reason that "Regulation tuning" fails with an EC-frameless "DT" and "TSX-MAG" encoder assembly or there is just some "noisy" and "unsteady" motor operation possible?
Situation:
- The EC-frameless "DT" motor series can be ordered with a "TSX-MAG" encoder mounted on the stator ex-factory. The rotor and stator (with the "TSX-MAG") is matched (= so-called "paired") to each other during production.
Typical causes of failures
- One common cause of error when installing the EC-frameless (with TSX-MAG) is that mismatching rotors and stators are assembled to one unit in the field. This can happen if several EC-frameless motors have to be installed in the same machine and the rotor and stator are mixed up in stock or when delivered to the production line or when the two components are assembled. This typically happens when several of these motors are unpacked for assembly, all rotors and stators are placed in the same box, and during subsequent assembly it is no longer checked which rotor and stator belongs together. This can lead to incorrect "Regulation tuning" and disappointing or unstable motor operation.
Important points to keep in mind
Please note the information on page 2-11, chapter "2.3 Nameplate" and page 3-13 "3 Installation" of the "EC frameless DT Installation Manual", see attached.
If "smooth", stable motor operation is not possible or the motor controller even reports error states, please first check the "production ID and consecutive number" lasered on the rotor and stator and ensure that these are completely identical on the rotor and stator!
