EPOS Studio Installation: Selection of supported product lines

Situation:

If you have "EPOS Studio" installed and want to open a project or connect to an "EPOS", "EPOS P", or "MCD", it might happen that these product lines are not available by the selection or cannot be accessed.

Solution:

The "EPOS Studio Setup" just installs the required software features, settings, and manuals for the most up-to-date product lines. Software components and manuals of discontinued product lines (e.g. "EPOS" or "EPOS P") are not installed automatically anymore. If you still have such a product in use, you have to take care that the corresponding installation branch is selected for installation too. It is possible to restart the "EPOS Studio Setup" to install missing features even later on.

Please ensure that the software components and manuals of all your product lines in use are actually installed. Please select the required product lines  by the "Custom Setup" selection of the "EPOS Studio Setup" configuration.

Important notice:

• If you use a "MCD", you have to install the "EPOS" branch!
• If you use a "MCD P", you have to install the "EPOS P" branch!

Default installation branch:

C:\Program Files (x86)\maxon motor ag\EPOS Positioning Controller

You can find all the hardware, firmware, software manuals of the selected product lines as well as the EposCmd.DLL and code samples fopr different operating systems and programming languages in this installation path.
