Encoder: minimum speed

Question:

What minimum motor speed does maxon recommend for a speed control with encoder?

Answer:

• 10...100 rpm, depending on the application.

Precondition:

• The resolution of the encoders should be at least 500 counts per turn (revolution).
  With higher resolutions, e.g. 5'000 counts per turn, speeds below 10rpm can be realized.
